Chaffee Rotor Sealer Model CB-V is a water-cooled variable speed rotary band heat sealer intended for use on plastic bags and films. It is used for bag top closing in production packaging operations. Materials include heat sealable plastics and light laminates. Production rate will depend on the size and type of package. The CB-V family of machines can operate at speeds of up to 40 feet/minute and temperatures to 500F in standard configurations. Alternate characteristics are available for special applications. The CB-V produces a 1/2 seal. Standard seal widths of 1/4 and 3/4 are also available. All of these width options are also available in a lower cost fixed speed version that normally operates at 25 feet per minute. Optional machine construction features include digital temperature control and reverse workflow direction. Optional accessories include material handling infeed, trimming and code dating devices. A number of support stand and coolant recirculation options are available.
